Historically I have an iffy time with dairy. I have always hated milk. As a kid I wouldn’t eat whipped cream or puddings or most ice cream because they grossed me out. The colloidal fat nature of dairy gives me the heebie jeebies. I lived with a vegan after college for several years based on this mutual hatred of milk despite being the biggest meat eater I know. I do love cheese but I grew up in a household where cheese was not allowed in the door.* So other than eating meat three times a day, I pretty much grew up vegan.
Nowadays, I am better. I love whipped cream, and rice pudding is one of my favorite desserts. I also love cheese. I enjoy (nay, require!) milk in a tea or coffee. But the idea of drinking a glass of milk still makes me wretch.
Except for this! It’s like chocolate milk with espresso in it! And you can put the can in the freezer and then it gets all coffee snow icy. It’s like a dollar at the CVS and I cannot get enough of it. I rationalize that it is pretty much the only way I get dairy and my bones will shatter if I don’t drink it.
