In adulthood, there’s not many traditional school-like tests to cram for. Except for voting–you go to a public school gym, get in a booth (NO CHEATING), stand in lines, and take a closed book test! So if you, like me, haven’t studied or just moved to a new place and are freaked out by voting tomorrow, here’s the resources people have been sending ME to. Comment if you know more of them and I’ll add em!
NATIONAL
- Vote 411–allows you to see your ballot
- VoteSmart
- League of Women Voters
- Google Vote–Find out where to vote! (thanks, Mark)
ILLINOIS &/OR COOK COUNTY:
Thanks for this! Vote 411 is a really great resource and I need to spend some time with it today.
Oh how I wish it were only public school gyms! My last couple of polling places in IL were churches for chrissakes!
Here in #SUX it’s the Boys & Girls Club.
Mine’s a hospital. However when I was a kid, my catholic school always was a polling place. I’m fine with religious places being a polling place. I mean few places have enough room!
Stupid Touch keyboard! Yes I’m blaming it for not being able to spell my name.
Yes, agreed on the lack of public space for polling. Maybe I’m just griping because they were Baptist churches and I’ve been in too many of those. They rarely have cool windows either! Not that that would be where the polling happens, but still!
oh yeah i hear that.
also, at first i thought you were mary!
