Man I have always wanted to read an Oliver Sacks book.  It seems perfect for me.  I listened to the audiobook, which was a bad move because non-American accents kill me on an audiobook.  It was just okay.  I found many of the vignettes interesting but there was no real common thread to bring it together.  Perhaps I have to try a non-audio version.

How ironic that you might prefer the non-audio version of a book that is about how the human mind processes audio.

ha! true! I have recently realized that I cannot listen to books read in a British accent. It makes me zone out. I think I react to British read audiobooks like some people react to all audio books. I felt the same way about Life of Pi which was in an Indian-British accent.
